Frank and I met in 1961 when he was 21 and I 16. We separated a year and a half later - he was a farmer and I was headed toward my own kind of life - but our connection had gone deep and lingered in both of us. In January of 2001 I heard he had hanged himself. Frank after his life is a side-story within Work & days.
